There are 2 options for the FM-RDS. The “Pro-install” option can be hard-wired to the radio to eliminate any interference and static, offering the highest sound quality possible and the “Self-install” option allows the user to plug in the FM-RDS directly into the 12-volt accessory/cigarette lighter plug and use it right out of the box. The “Pro-install” integration kit works with all vehicles equipped with a standard analog antenna and it bypasses the FM antenna input when the iPod is connected, providing a stronger and cleaner audio signal.
