Sound Gate iO Play The SoundGate® iO PLAY™ allows a driver to spend less time plugging in and more time rocking out, opening up the world   of music streaming and mobile-phone, hands-free possibilities in a vehicle. It provides the use of portable audio devices, such as MP3 players, mobile phones, and GPS, through a car stereo system simultaneously and wirelessly using Bluetooth® technology.

Designed for those with a passion for music, but possessing the added benefits of enhanced hands-free and GPS functionality, the iO PLAY streams high-quality audio from portable devices clearly and flawlessly through the entire car stereo system. It’s done with an easy-to-use control console mounted anywhere in the vehicle and an iO-designed 60-watt Class D amplifier. A specialized ground-loop isolation chip in the iO PLAY allows for perfect sound quality with absolutely no interference. This device easily fits into an existing vehicle’s audio system and is compatible with A2DP Bluetooth Stereo, Bluetooth HFP, all generations of iPod® and iPhone™, and any other device that uses Bluetooth.
The iO PLAY also allows the driver to simultaneously make and receive phone calls while streaming music from a second portable device. An auto-connect feature allows the user to store up to five portable devices in iO PLAY memory. It’s managed with iO AudioSense technology (patent pending) that switches between connected devices and the original audio source.
For NAV, MP3 player, or PDA portable devices that are non-Bluetooth, the 3.5mm Bluetooth adapter (sold separately) plugs into the device and wirelessly streams music tracks through the vehicle’s audio system. The iPod/iPhone Bluetooth adapter (bundled with the iO PLAY in one handy kit) is compatible with most any generation iPod and is perfect for taking tunes to the car wirelessly as well. This adapter allows users to skip tracks and pause the iPod using the iO PLAY console buttons, without ever needing to be charged. There’s also an iPod/iPhone Charge and Play Bluetooth adapter (sold separately) that streams music tracks while charging from the cigarette lighter socket.
