rtRockford Fosgate introduced today the Prime family of amplifiers, loudspeakers and enclosures. This new generation of performance product is designed to ensure maximum performance, compatibility and value consistent with Rockford Fosgate’s 2009 “Solutions” product initiative.

Prime amplifiers offer Rockford-class A/B amplification in mono, two-channel and four-channel configurations with power output up to 500 watts (RMS). The R500-1 also features on-board Punch Bass with remote level control. All Prime amplifiers feature Rockford’s exclusive POWER (Power Output Without Excessive Regulation) supply/output design to ensure true rated output power at all levels.

The new Prime coaxial loudspeakers from Rockford Fosgate speak volumes about how a high-end system should sound. Available in 5.25-, 6.5- and 6x9-in. configurations, all loudspeakers feature mica-injected polypropylene cones an 18 AWG stamped steel frame for superior stability and a 13mm Mylar balanced dome tweeter. Prime loudspeakers are the perfect upgrade to any factory system and are optimized to work as a system with Prime amplifiers.

“Low tight bass is what made Rockford Fosgate subwoofers famous, and these new Prime woofers take this signature Rockford trait to a value most only dream of.” said Jake Braaten, Rockford Fosgate director of brand and product development.

Prime woofers are available in 10- and 12-in. sizes, both feature 150 watt RMS/300 watt peak handling power, parabolic polypropylene cones and a stamped steel frame. The Prime woofers are also offered as Prime Loaded featuring perfectly matched woofer and enclosures that break new ground in construction, sound and value. A compact sealed design, Prime Loaded is available in single and dual configurations for both 10- and 12-in. woofers.
