By special arrangement, Neil Case, world famous "techno bass" artist from Hollywood, FL, and the Mobile Electronics Competition Association car audio club based in Nashville, TN have joined forces to release the newest BASS MEKANIK CD, titled "808" as a MECA Limited Edition.   Case and MECA Commissioner Steve Stern have known each other since 1994 and have a great working relationship, and mutual interest in providing the absolute best test sources available to car audio enthusiasts and professionals.  The 14 new songs on the CD are intended for MECA's Sound Pressure League competitors who participate in Amateur Street and the Drive-by SPL Parade contests, where full range music must be used as the test source, not just technical tones and sweeps.  The CD also provides the standard test section for testing, tuning, and competing.

"Quad Maximus", The first BASS MEKANIK album was released in 1994, and from the very beginning the BASS MEKANIK's success has been a classic grassroots phenomenon built entirely from the positive word of mouth generated by his music.  By taking the feedback gathered from competitors at car audio events and combining it with his own musical and engineering skills, the BASS MEKANIK crafted a unique style that has made him one of the most recognized recording artists in car audio oriented music.

In addition to being the sonic ammunition of choice for car audio/bass fans everywhere, the BASS MEKANIK CDs have also become fixtures in the installation bays of car audio installer/retailers nationwide, this is due not only to the music but also to the fact that every BASS MEKANIK CD features a handy test section designed to help consumers and competitors perform some simple testing of their systems setup and SPL potential.

As a fan of technology the BASS MEKANIK has always supported the organizations that govern car audio competition and personally compiled the classic MECA SPL Test CD in 2000, which is still offered as a premier tuning and testing tool through the club.

The "Bass Mekanik 808/MECA Edition" is available through the www.mecacaraudio.com site, MECA Retail Members, and at all MECA events.  Cost is only $10, keeping with Case and Stern's philosophy of providing high quality CD's at a most reasonable price.  Car audio enthusiasts and professionals have been anticipating the new BASS MEKANIK CD, scheduled for early September release.  But, through this special arrangement. MECA has it now, and will be promoting it at over 100 USA and International events, and through its network of 90+ Retail Member storefronts.
