The secret to the success of WideSphere’s breakthrough in transducer technology is due to an inverted two-piece titanium dome and a powerful neodymium ring magnet system developed exclusively by MB Quart.
“By creating a wide radiation angle, for the first time ever, off-axis dispersion measurements are nearly identical to on-axis,” further commented Henricks. The DKH116 Speakers carry the legacy of MB Quart’s high quality sound with top end features such as carbon fiber reinforced woofer frames, polypropylene woofer membrane cones, edge wound 1” voice coils and silver spade terminals. “This is truly a first class value speaker for critical listeners that are looking for a full range music experience,” said Mike Stiers, Product Development Specialist.
Stiers further commented about the DKH116 by stating, “A coaxial system is a great advantage. There is no bulky crossover to find placement for since the crossover is fixed to the speaker and with the tweeter mounted in the center of the speaker there is no need to find a suitable mounting location for the tweeter.” Stiers concluded by saying, “I’ve installed many systems over the years, and the DKH116 makes replacing a stock coaxial a breeze.” The Discus DKH116 is rated at 50-120 Watts and 40Hz-30kHz Frequency.
