ac2AudioControl, an award-winning designer and manufacturer of high-performance audio components, announced it will be debuting an addition to their line of OEM integration processors at the 2009 CES. The new LC8i is a highly flexible eight-channel signal processor with active input circuitry that accepts speaker-level inputs, of up to 400 watts per channel, from factory-installed source units or amplifiers. It converts them to high-quality pre-amp signals that can then be directed to aftermarket processors and/or amplifiers. This means users will enjoy maximum sound quality while maintaining the use of factory volume and steering wheel controls.
Designed for maximum flexibility, the LC8i is equipped with an auxiliary input that allows the simple addition of secondary source units like iPods and satellite radio tuners. By tapping the dash control knob, a user can switch back and forth between the main speaker-level inputs and the auxiliary input. Additionally, the multi-function dash knob provides both volume control of the Auxiliary input and level adjustments for the subwoofer output.

“As factory-installed audio systems have gotten more sophisticated, our dealers have been asking us for integration processors with more inputs, enhanced switching capabilities plus volume and subwoofer level controls,” commented Chris Kane of AudioControl. “Much like a “Swiss Army Knife”, the LC8i is equipped with a number of integration resources that will let the dealers say “Yes” to customers wanting to add aftermarket amplifiers and processors to their factory-installed systems.”

Being a high-value OEM integration processor, the LC8i is installer friendly with features like internal signal summing, output level controls for signal matching plus a high-current 12-volt turn-on output. Additionally the LC8i is equipped with AudioControl’s unique GTO™ (Great Turn On) signal-sense circuit and AutoMode™ signal routing including bypass switching.

The LC8i uses proven OEM integration technology derived from AudioControl’s highly popular LC6i, LC7, DQL-8, and The Epicenter Plus signal processors. The speaker-level inputs accept high wattage signals (up to 400 watts per channel), either full range or crossed over, and converts them to high-quality pre-amp signals. Signals from factory radios with built-in crossovers can be summed and combined internally to provide a full-range pre-amp signal. Dealers wanting to offer sound quality that is clearly better than OEM systems can also easily add one of AudioControl’s many crossovers or equalizers,

The LC8i is scheduled to begin shipping in 1st quarter of 2009 with a U.S. selling price of 229.99, including the dash control

AudioControl recently celebrated their 30th year as a U.S. based designer and manufacturer of highest-quality home and car audio components, committed to the pursuit of perfect audio systems. Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
