To help our autosound dealers get more sales, and get them faster, AudioControl has recently introduced the Bass Bandit Test Drive Kit. This self-contained portable kit allows dealers to demo AudioControl’s patented bass restoration processor, The Epicenter Plus, in the customers own vehicle with his/her own music. In addition, since the Bass Bandit Test Drive Kit uses The Epicenter Plus, with auxiliary input, the dealer can also show what The Epicenter circuit does to bring back the bass dynamics of compressed music on iPods.

What Are Dealers Saying?

Jae Hyun Oh, of California Audio Concepts in Bakersfield,  CA puts it this way, " Oh Man! What the @#$%! I’ve been in business all this time and never thought of this myself. I see this (Bass Bandit) kit and it’s so obvious." Jae continues "It works all the time. We just put it in a guy’s Suburban and he couldn’t believe what it did for his bass. You know, everybody has heard about The Epicenter, but they don’t really know how it works and what it does. Now they hear it right in their own car and they can’t believe how much it does. So, OK, demo over and we take it out. No! They don’t like that. Once they hear it they have to have one. It’s like a sale every time."

Hugo Fernandez, of Salinas Autosport in La Habra, CA says " Awesome tool. It works in every car with every customer. I take it to the car and hook it up and they can really hear the difference in the bass quality. And it’s fast. This is a busy shop and I’m always short on time. I can take this out and hook it up in just a few seconds. It’s easy, it’s fast, and it works. You can’t get better than that."

Who Is The Bass Bandit?  For autosound enthusiasts, anything that steals or compromises the bass response or dynamics of a performance audio system is a member of the fictitious Bass Bandit gang. AudioControls developed technology to help autosound retailers "defeat" the Bass Bandit in the form of their patented bass restoration circuitry used in The Epicenter, The Epicenter Plus, and the EPIC-160.

What Is It?  The Bass Bandit Test Drive Kit is composed of The Epicenter Plus connected to 20 feet of input and output RCA cables for signal connections. The Epicenter Plus also has offers an auxiliary input that will allow it to accept signals from a portable audio device like an iPod. Power for the Test Drive Kit is provided via a 12 volt cigarette lighter adapter that allows the dealer to put the Test Drive Kit in the lap of the consumer so they can experience a demonstration of The Epicenter in their own personal vehicle.

How Do I Get One?  The Bass Bandit Test Drive Kit is available now to authorized AudioControl autosound dealers through several dealer support programs. Interested parties need only to contact their local AudioControl sales representative. For more information on AudioControl and the Bass Bandit Test Drive Kit, contact AudioControl at (425) 775-8461 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
