Weighing in at a hefty 22kg the all new VIBE BLACKDEATH 15 inch competition subwoofer is spreading fear amongst its competition. Its edge is masterful engineering; its mission is to be the champion on the SPL lanes. Every detail of the BLACKDEATH has been taken to extreme levels never before seen in the world of car audio. Ludicrous excursion and unfathomable power handling combine to create deadly bass. The BLACKDEATH is available in two cone compounds – Carbon Fibre and Paper/Fibreglass – allowing you to choose the perfect sound for your needs. The carbon cone has lower mass and higher sensitivity making it the preferred choice for the SPL lanes while the paper/fiberglass cone has a greater mass and superior dampening giving deep, controlled bass for the street. The spec is impressive with a specially designed 6 layer conex spider and a three inch vented aluminium voice coil with four layer heavy gauge pure copper winding. The heavy duty speaker cables are directly connected to the voice coil while the huge double stacked magnet provides the massive magnetic field required to propel the woofer cone to incredible SPL levels. As the BLACKDEATH is designed with SPL in mind it has been developed so that the cone can be easily replaced if it is ever damaged. This significantly reduces the cost involved in replacing the damaged woofer as the motor mechanism can still be retained. When partnered up with the new VIBE BlackBox Bass amplifiers it is possible to use 2 amplifiers per voice coil for maximum power and ultimate SPL Tech Spec (carbon) RMS Power – 2500 watts Peak Power – 7500 watts Sensitivity – 94db Frequency response – 15Hz – 850Hz Impedance – Dual 1 Ohm Tech Spec (paper) RMS Power – 2500 watts Peak Power – 7500 watts Sensitivity – 93db Frequency response – 10Hz – 850Hz Impedance – Dual 4 Ohm |
